FAQs about Florida EBT
Here are the most frequently asked questions about free admission with the Florida SNAP program and Florida EBT Discounts.
Is the Tampa Zoo free with an EBT card?
If you receive Florida EBT, you and your kids can go to some of the nicest places in Tampa for free.
Unfortunately, the Tampa Zoo does not offer discounted admissions for EBT cardholders.
However, active-duty military and veterans can get $4 off per ticket on up to 4 tickets.
All you need to do is bring a form of ID to verify your military status and purchase your tickets at the front gate ticket windows.
Can I get free admission with Florida EBT in another state?
Yes, your Florida ACCESS EBT Card qualifies you for reduced-price or free admission at any participating Museums for All location in another state.
Can I pay with admission with my Florida SNAP EBT Card?
No, your Florida EBT Card and SNAP/TANF benefits only qualify you for the reduced or free admission price. You cannot use your SNAP EBT Card benefits to purchase anything that is not a food or grocery item – including admission. Any admission costs must be paid for with alternate methods, such as cash or credit.
Can I use WIC or something other than SNAP to get the Museums for All rate?
Many of the participating museums will accept WIC or some other form of identification, but they are not required to. Please check with the museum before you visit, as there is no guarantee that they will honor anything besides an Florida ACCESS Card.
The museum I want to visit isn’t on this list. Can I still get discounted admission with my Florida ACCESS EBT Card?
While most museums offer some type of discount to Florida ACCESS EBT Cardholders, we cannot guarantee that you will get an admission rate of $3 or less.
Please contact the museum you wish to visit and ask them about them directly about any discounts available to FL SNAP EBT Cardholders.
Are there any more discounts available with the Florida EBT Card?
Yes, your Florida ACCESS EBT Card qualifies you for various discounts including discounted Amazon Prime for EBT Cardholders, discounted cell phone service, free internet service, and much more.
To get a complete list of all the discounts available to Florida EBT ACCESS Card recipients, read our Florida EBT Card Discounts Guide.
What Grocery Stores Accept Florida EBT for Delivery?

Can I have someone else help shop with my EBTCard?
Ask your local county food stamps caseworker about setting up an Authorized Representative (AR).
The AR will have a separate card with his or her own account number and PIN. The AR will have access to your entire EBT benefit account.
How do I find out how much I get in SNAP and whether I get extra SNAP?
The Florida DCF may not send you a notice to inform you of extra SNAP benefits.
Therefore, the best way to find out if you are going to get extra benefits this month is to check your balance and your monthly SNAP benefit amount by using the information below:
Check your Florida EBT balance online or call (888) 356-3281 to check your balance by phone.
Additionally, you can call the DCF’s Customer Call Center at (866) 762-2237 or (850) 300-4323 to get more information.
